CPMG Launches “Find a Doctor” Feature on Website
The latest enhancements to CPMG’s website allow parents to find doctors by specialty, zip code, language spoken, and more.

Children’s Physicians Medical Group (CPMG) of San Diego has announced the release of new and enhanced features on its website that will make finding a CPMG affiliated doctor convenient and hassle free. The “Find a Doctor” feature on the CPMG website allows parents to search for doctors by name, specialty, location, language spoken, and/or gender. Results are displayed that include a photo of each doctor, where the doctor went to medical school, and how long he or she has been in practice. Unlike services that force parents to choose a care provider from a black and white list of names, CPMG hopes to give parents as much information as possible to assist in their search for a pediatrician or a pediatric specialist.
In a community as diverse as San Diego, CPMG understands that different upbringings and cultural backgrounds can create different wants and needs when it comes to receiving medical care. While some parents may feel more comfortable with their child seeing a pediatrician of a particular gendermor, others may feel more comfortable discussing medical matters in their native tongue. The Find a Doctor feature helps by allowing parents to narrow down their list of options based on the facts that are most important to them.
The search by zip code option of the Find a Doctor feature is perfect for parents who travel throughout San Diego on a regular basis. For example, parents can either find a pediatrician closest to their home, work, or their child’s school, depending on which option is most convenient. Next to each pediatrician’s informational profile is an easy to view map that displays the location of the pediatrician’s office for quick navigation.
Along with the professional accomplishments of each CPMG affiliated physician, the Find a Doctor feature also contains the ages and years in practice of each physician, along with pictures to accompany most profiles. By offering this information about their doctors, CPMG hopes to introduce their physicians as people, not just names on a list. This more personable approach to matching doctors with patients establishes rapport early in the relationship and encourages more open communication during their first appointment.
