Clarence Blakeslee first struck out on his own in 1948 when he started what was then known as Rockford Sheet Metal in his own basement. The business would eventually find a home both in Rockford and Grand Rapids, providing plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services to the greater West Michigan area. Blakeslee & Son, Inc. has now been in continuous service of their community through three generations and countless technicians, service calls, receptions, and offices. Today, the company operates out of locations in both Rockford and Grand Rapids.
The Blakeslee name started building its reputation even before Clarence created his own brand, and has continued to work hard to maintain that reputation ever since. This is reflected in the service that each and every member of the Blakeslee & Son team provides to customers on a regular basis.
Blakeslee & Son is committed to giving back to their West Michigan community, most notably through their Fund Development Program. With the cooperation of local 501(c)(3) organizations, Blakeslee & Son allows associated donors, employees, and partners to support the charitable organization each time they utilize Blakeslee & Son's services for their home. This program has allowed Blakeslee & Son to strengthen community ties while also supporting worthwhile causes. Additionally, Blakeslee & Son is a major contributor to the Chamber of Commerce, the Rockford Parade, and a variety of other community activities.
The Blakeslee & Son name has come to represent excellence in service by way of its commitment to its customers and by extension its community as a whole. They are proud to have been able to serve the West Michigan region for more than 60 years and hope to continue to do so for many years to come.

In addition to extensive plumbing experience, the Blakeslee team also offers installation and maintenance for heating and air conditioning systems.
