In its initiative to recognize emerging artists in the country, with its Emerging Artist Reward Scheme, the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation is now supported by Bajaj Electricals Limited and Shabdam.

As part of its 75th year celebrations, Bajaj Electricals Limited, along with Shabdam, is proud to be associated with the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, a charity trust established to encourage young artists in India. PDAF has embarked on an ambitious plan to awards artists in the field of Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Print making, Installation Art, and Photography.
Registrations to the contest are open to all artists till December 31, 2014. Bajaj Electricals Limited, along with Shabdam, will sponsor a cash prize worth Rs. 2 lacs for the Gold Award winner at the all-India level, in the Painting category. They will also sponsor cash prizes of Rs. 1 lac each, to the Gold Award winners in the Painting category, across the 8 metro cities viz. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkatta and Mumbai.
The contest is being promoted through Facebook and Twitter; and registration details are also available on http://www.prafullafoundation.com too. Apart from winning prize money, the artists will also be eligible for certain benefits once their application is accepted and they become registered artists with PDAF.
