Johns Mansville is a insulation and roofing product company that has recently developed a new product which has completely changed the way many companies go about installing solar panels. The name of the product is ENRGY Curb and it allows for easier, less intrusive and less expensive solar panel installation.
ENRGY Curb is a lightweight mounting system which provides a safer way to install solar panels on flat roof systems. Where in the past solar panels were mounted onto flat roofs by penetration, puncturing the waterproofing membrane, the ENRGY Curb provides a complete non-penetrating PV mounting method. This was an important aspect of the product for Johns Manville, to have a PV mounting solution that did not compromise the roof it was installed on in anyway.
As one of the key partners of Johns Manville solar roofing projects, some of the work Eagle Rivet has completed using ENRGY Curb has been featured in the latest brochure for Johns Manville solar products and services. The company is honored to be included and looks forward to working with ENRGY Curb more in the future. The main advantages of the Curb system are immediately apparent. Since it's is mounted on heat welded anchors, having solar panels installed in this method will not increase the chance of a roof leaking. It is also faster because it is a less extensive process. But the advantages go further than that, which is one of the points Eagle Rivet president Arthur Dias touched on when speaking about ENRGY Curb, "We just think it's a phenomenal product.
