As we age, most of us will inevitably begin to show signs of aging on our face and neck. While areas of concern have, in the past, been treated by separate surgical procedures, many women are now seeking a new technique which combines the benefits of three surgeries in one. Dr. Robert Guida recently sat down to discuss the benefits of the '3-in-1 Facelift' procedure.
"Many of my patients are healthy women in their 40s and 50s, who often look older than they feel," Dr. Guida says, "They want to address the signs of aging that affect their appearance. However, they also want a procedure that will not produce unnatural-looking results. Recently, I have seen interest in the '3-in-1 Facelift' grow tremendously."
The 3-in-1 Facelift targets areas of the face most prone to show signs of aging: the neck, jaw line, and center of the face, Dr. Guida explains. With the first part of the procedure, Dr. Guida uses a Fractional CO2 Laser to resurface skin, and fuel the natural creation of collagen on the face. This process helps eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.
Next, Dr. Guida implements the SmartLipo laser procedure for the neck area. The SmartLipo laser heats and tightens the undersurface of the skin to remove excess fat from the neck, according to Dr. Guida. Finally; he performs a deep-plane two-layered facelift. This technique helps lift the cheeks, and tighten loose skin on the face. Post-surgery, patients look younger and rejuvenated.
"Patients love that they receive all the benefits of three cosmetic surgeries in one procedure," says Dr. Guida, "The recovery period associated with this practice is only about two weeks, making it ideal for busy women.
During this procedure, only a few small incisions are made, so visible scarring is also extremely minimal. "I have seen great results with this surgery so far, and I am excited to continue helping women in their 40s or 50s learn more about this procedure may benefit them," says Dr. Guida.
Dr. Guida encourages women who are currently experiencing visible signs of aging to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine if the 3-in-1 Facelift treatment is right for them.
