Gary Simpson, Sales Director at Incrediwell Ltd, is so confident about the benefits of the Incrediwear products that he sells that he wore them when taking part in his third Ironman challenge last month.
The Ironman Lanzarote is one of the most difficult Ironman challenges in the world and includes a 2.4 mile sea swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run. What sets the Lanzarote Ironman apart from the others is the unforgiving heat of Lanzarote's volcanic landscape, harsh winds and an incredibly tough 8000ft climb during the cycling stage.
Gary is Sales Director at Incrediwell Ltd and along with his business partner Malcolm Illingworth promotes and distributes Incrediwear products; specialist sportswear support garments and socks, designed to reduce injuries and speed up recovery times.
Gary trained for his Ironman challenge for over seven months and Incrediwear products have become a crucial part of his preparations: " This is my third Ironman and my training mainly consisted of running twice a week, swimming two to three times a week and cycling between 80 and 180 miles per week," said Gary. Whilst training for the Ironman, Gary also managed to complete a 50 mile time trial cycle race in the Yorkshire Dales and has recently competed in Skipton Triathlon!
Gary has been using Incrediwear products for some time and is so confident about the benefits of using them that he set up his company, Incrediwell, to sell and distribute them: "I mainly use Incredi Socks, arm sleeves and calf guards, designed to increase oxygen and blood supply, when I'm training but without a shadow of a doubt the Incrediwear recovery leggings have been a revelation! Incrediwear recovery leggings will warm you up and prevent injury; they are worn by the Rock Racing professional cycling team who we sponsor and they've said the same. The recovery leggings were also worn by Ryder Hesjedal, winner of last year's Giro d'Italia," said Gary.
During the Ironman challenge Gary wore Incrediwear Pro 3 socks, designed to offer superior thermal regulation and moisture control properties whilst running, as did his friends from the Rock Racing team, Craig Coleman and Eddie Haworth who are also took part in the Lanzarote Ironman.
"I take part in events like the Ironman because I simply enjoy competing and love the challenge! I just need to know that I have given my all and done the best that I can. My target for the Ironman was to complete the race in less than 14 hours; competitors are allowed 17 hours before the race closes and I'm delighted to report that I did it!" added Gary.
Rather than relaxing after competing in the Ironman, just weeks later Gary is planning on swimming from one end of Lake Windermere to the other - a total of 10.5 miles and feels that wearing Incrediwear products really does help him recover quickly, allowing him to stay in great shape, ready to face the next challenge: "Using Incrediwear when I'm competing has made me realise just how effective these products are. Although I spend a lot of time promoting the products to clients, wearing them has given me a fantastic opportunity to reap the benefits for myself!" said Gary.
Notes to editors:
Incrediwear products are made of a unique combination of bamboo charcoal and germanium. Incrediwear products not only help with thermal and moisture regulation but when warmed by the body they will release negatively charged anions that can improve blood circulation.
Incredisocks and Incredisupports provide constant therapy and results have shown that most people who experience pain and try an Incredisupport feel relief in 20 minutes or less. Incredisupports can be used to provide relief from sprains, meniscus tears, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammation, cramps and fatigue.
