By Your Side Dance Studio, considered the best dance studio for ballroom dance lessons Los Angeles, has proven once again that the quality of their ballroom dance instruction is unmatched. Recently many of By Your Dance Studio's ballroom dance students won first place in their dance events and received accolades for the quality of their ballroom dancing skill at the eminent Emerald Ballroom Dance Competition.
The Emerald Ballroom Dance Competition is among the most prestigious dance competitions in the USA and consistently attracts the best of ballroom dancers in the USA and abroad. This year the competition was held from May 1 to May 5 in Los Angeles with more than 15,000 entries which made the 2013 event the Emerald's biggest ballroom dance event to date. "It's a great honor for us to have so many of our ballroom dance students win and place at the distinguished Emerald Ball Dance Competition. We are so pleased to be recognized as the best ballroom dance studio Los Angeles and incredibly proud of the outstanding achievements by our students in such a prestigious ballroom competition", said Deborah Fields Perez, owner and ballroom dance instructor at By Your Side Dance Studio.
By Your Side Dance Studio students participated in several ballroom dance events including the Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Salsa, Tango and Rumba. The By Your Side Dance Studio students who placed at the Emerald Ball Dance Competition are as follows:
- Lucas Bross- participated in a total of 7 events and won first place in all 7 events!
- Catherine Caballero-participated in 7 events and won four 1st places and three 3rd places
- Rene Perez- participated in 14 events and won 12 first places and two 2nd places
- Jane Glaser- participated in 12 events with first places in all 12!
- Deanna Stanton & Joseph Hidalgo won 1st place in Bolero and 2nd place in American Tango
- Joseph Hidalgo earned the 4th place in the Cha Cha and Viennese Waltz
