Leeds letting agents dwell Leeds have responded to figures released by the Association of Residential Lettings Agents showing a further rise in landlord investment over the past year. The average number of buy-to-let properties owned by landlords has increased to eight, with is up from seven at the start of 2012.
Jon Graham, Managing Director of dwell Leeds, said: "We've seen a definite rise in landlord confidence over the last twelve months. The figures released by ARLA also show an increase in landlord activity; 29 per cent of landlords who took part in the survey said they had brought a property in the last year, compared to 25 per cent at the beginning of 2012."
The demand for quality rental properties in the Leeds area has been rising steadily, especially in north Leeds. "North Leeds has had a very strong rental market for many years, largely due to the increasing student population, however as Leeds has developed into one of the most successful cities in the north of England, the number of professional tenants wanting to live in the area has risen dramatically. Tenants across the board now expect a higher standard and the quality of our properties reflects this.
"Roundhay, Chapel Allerton and Kirkstall are all great locations within easy reach of Leeds city centre, whilst Horsforth, although it's a little further afield, has excellent transport links and fantastic local amenities making it an area that's increasingly in demand by potential tenants. As these are popular areas with professional tenants, we're encouraging landlords to consider properties in these locations.
"I'd agree with ARLA's survey results; we've seen a rise in the number of enquiries from new landlords and many of the landlords we've been working with for some time have increased the number of properties in their portfolio," said Jon.
dwell Leeds was established by Jon Graham who takes great pride in the range of efficient and reliable services they offer to both landlords and tenants: "We have a thorough understanding of the Leeds lettings market and having been based in the city for many years, we are able to offer our clients the best possible advice and guidance on lettings in Leeds.
"Our range of quality rental properties in Leeds continues to grow, allowing us to offer tenants a huge range of potential homes to choose from.
"We're qualified and licensed members of ARLA which reflects our high levels of professionalism and customer service, enabling us to offer tenants and landlords alike a straightforward and transparent lettings service," added Jon.
