Michael Steele is an expert in political strategy, fund raising, PACs, election reform and was charged with revitalizing the Republican Party.
Presently, Steele is the CEO and President of his company called "The Steele Group," which has been operating since 1999. He is also working as a Political Analyst with MSNBC. "His abilities as a strong political analyst and communicator have been long showcased through his time as one of the major contributors for Fox News and as a regular host of the nationally syndicated radio show, 'Morning in America.' He also appears in several political talk shows," stated a spokesman of Steele, while speaking about the former RNC Chairman.
Michael Steele, who describes himself as Lincoln Republican, carved his niche in American political history in the year 2003 when he was voted as Maryland's Lieutenant Governor. He was the fist African American to be voted into Maryland's statewide office. Steele has also served as GOPAC Chairman as an expert on election reform and political strategy. He also held eminent positions with NFERC (National Federal Election Reform Commission) & NAACP Blue Ribbon Commission on Election Reform.
Michael Steele also held the honor of being a Chairman of RNC (Republican National Committee) from January 30th, 2009 to January 14th, 2011. "Before leaving the Republican National Committee, Steele set a fresh direction for his former party, which resulted in record-setting fundraising effects as well as more seats in the local, state, and federal level since the year 1928.
