Chip-It Power Module Manufacturers Offer System to Improve Diesel Tuning and Diesel Performance

Chip It Australia, manufacturers of the Chip-It performance module have announced that there are confident about their performance module. This advanced computer exploits current diesel engine technology provides an immediate boost to the engine’s horse power and torque up to 35-50%. In some cases, it is also known to increase fuel economy.
The computer module comes pre-tuned for plug and play fitting and helps engine tuners in diesel tuning and gives the engine the power it was made to have. Other capabilities include real time data manipulating software and a MAP Control feature that can bring out the hidden power that’s locked up within the engine and factory ECU.
“What sets this module from the others in the market is the tune-ability. We provide 21 different tunes and can also customize the tunes on the customer’s request. Customers get 15 different tunes on a USB drive, but should they need a customized tune, they can email us,” says the spokesperson for Chip-It Australia.
“Another problem we address is the monitoring of the exhaust gas temperatures. As we all know keeping Exhaust Gas Temps (EGT’s) can be difficult to monitor once a power module is fitted. It’s important that the both the fuel and airflow is added to complete the burning of the extra fuel. If you do not, the resultant over fuelling can affect diesel performance and affect the EGT. The Chip-It power module is monitored in real time for EGT and hence helps to keep EGT low,” adds the spokesperson. The power module is manufactured, tested and tried in Australia on Australian fuel and comes with a 5 year full warranty.
Another advantage offered by the power module, besides diesel tuning is the fact that they increase the torque curve via fuel and turbo boost, thereby increasing the fuel economy by as much as 2km per litre. In fact some customers have reported an increase in fuel economy by 7 and 10%. The manufacturers however are cautious enough to warn that this fact isn’t tested by them and it could be also because of the driver’s style of driving.
