Christ Institute of Management (CIM), established by Christ University Trust, has started its campus operations at Lavasa City, India’s first hill city located near Pune.
This makes CIM one of the largest educational players to set up a base at Lavasa City. At present, CIM will offer two-year full-time PGDM courses with specialization in Finance and Marketing from this June and will subsequently increase number of courses to further enrich Lavasa City’s educational landscape.
Speaking on the association Mr. Nathan Andrews, President & CEO, Lavasa Corporation Ltd. said, “Our collaboration with Christ Institute of Management is in line with Lavasa City’s vision of creating a collaborative hub of education and training with best-in-class institutes from across the world. CIM’s reputed courses will create new paradigms of educational and managerial excellence for students in this part of the region.”
Commenting on the commencement of CIM Lavasa City campus, Dr (Fr) Varghese, Director, CIM Lavasa, said, “We are very happy to get associated with the city of Lavasa and establish an Institute of Management extending our experience in the field of Indian Higher education to this emerging centre of learning.”
Other educational tie-ups associated with Lavasa City include AOC, UK, Pearson, Little Millennium, UKIBC, Biomimicry Guild USA, City & Guilds, Great India, University of Northampton, Christel House, Doon Public School, Symbiosis University Pune, Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne and Educomp.
Lavasa is India’s first planned hill city where people can live, work, learn and play in harmony with nature. Lavasa is an inclusive city being developed by Lavasa Corporation Limited (LCL). Spread over 10,000 hectares the city is based on the principles of New Urbanism. It takes three hours from Mumbai and one hour from Pune to reach Lavasa by road.
